After releasing details about the debut album Good at Falling dropping on March 1, The Japanese House announced she’ll also be going on tour across the U.S.
The album, recorded in between a recording cabin owned by Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), Angelic Studios in Oxford, and ICP Studios in Brussels, is a personal project detailing specific moments in the artist’s life. She worked alongside producer BJ Burton and George Daniel of the popular indie-pop band, The 1975, to bring those moments to life through her lyrics and music videos.
The Japanese House is currently on a month-long tour in Europe before heading out to the UK for a tour beginning on March 11 and wrapping up on the 19th. The U.S. portion of the tour starts on April 29 and finishes on June 1. Tickets for all dates are now on sale here!

The first released single “Lilo,” is the most emotional and heart-breaking song to Bain. It’s a tearjerking run-through of a relationship ending, which features her real-life ex-girlfriend in the music video. “I asked Marika Hackman to be in the video because I couldn’t think who better to be in it than the person the song is about,” Bain told The Fader. The video runs viewers through the ups and downs leading to the complete dissolution of her relationship.
Fans will have the opportunity to celebrate the release of Good at Falling with the indie pop artist, Amber Bain, at Rough Trade Bristol with a live acoustic show and signing on the release day.
