John-Blair Bickerstaff, also known as J.B. Bickerstaff, is currently the Head Coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the son of former NBA coach Bernie Bickerstaff; before moving on to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Bickerstaff spent the first three seasons of his coaching tenure with the Charlotte Bobcats. From 2007 to 2010, he spent four seasons with the Timberwolves. He spent the following six seasons in Houston after his time in Minnesota.
In less than a season, Bickerstaff, who made his head coaching debut with the Rockets, led the team to a 37-34 record. He finally declined the chance to be the Rockets' head coach in favor of the position of head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies. He worked with the Grizzlies for four seasons, the first two of which he spent as Associate Head Coach before taking over as Head Coach. In 2019, Bickerstaff signed a multi-year deal to become the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
